Kevin Rabbitt, a proven leader across a wide range of industries, joined NEP as Chief Executive Officer in January 2012. Kevin brings more than twenty years of experience building strong organizations and creating winning culture to this role; time and again, Kevin has demonstrated that it is possible to grow businesses in a way that satisfies clients, generates growth, and maintains high levels of employee satisfaction and engagement.
Kevin’s experience at companies that have succeeded and grown while doing right by customers and staff alike will serve him well at NEP, which has long prided itself on its uniquely talented and experienced staff – and on the high levels of customer service and satisfaction felt by its loyal client base. As NEP’s CEO, Kevin is charged with leading the company to new levels of success through diversification and growth – while maintaining its unparalleled reputation for excellence and client service.
Prior to joining NEP, Kevin was CEO of 3Day Blinds, a manufacturer and multi-channel retailer of custom window coverings. He successfully improved the company’s core business practices and enhanced key marketing and sales functions - thereby increasing both sales and client satisfaction. Before that, Kevin spent nearly eight years at GES Exposition Services, the leading global producer of face-to-face events and expositions, servicing more than 3,500 trade shows annually. Kevin joined GES in 2002 as Vice President, National Operations and Client Services, and left in 2009 after four years as CEO. While there, GES grew by nearly 60%, re-launched its marketing and sales divisions, and became the first worldwide exhibitions contractor by expanding into Europe and the UAE.
Earlier in his career, Kevin spent time as a consultant with Bain & Company and with Deloitte Consulting; served as President and Chief Operating Officer of the Texas Ice Stadium in Houston; worked for the Houston Rockets Basketball Organization; and served as an Assistant Coach of Texas State University’s Division I Men’s Basketball Team, accompanying the team to the 1997 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament after winning the Southland Conference Championship.
Kevin holds a BA from Rice University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He is a huge college basketball fan and roots for the Kansas Jayhawks, Rice Owls, TCU Horned Frogs, UNLV Rebels, Evansville Aces, and the Nevada Wolf Pack.
